Shift Details: Monday
- Friday from 8am-4:30pm. Travel may be required based on clinic needs and coverage.
The Lead Tech demonstrates proficiency and knowledge for all aspects of eye care and examinations performed, and daily support for the Eye team. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to performing a variety of ocular examinations and procedures, assisting the provider with patient care and the daily operating functions of the department. Assists in maintaining accurate records and reports. Helps to coordinate the timely flow of patients through the Provider's schedules to maintain efficient patient care.
Assists in educational and technical training sessions of staff members based upon their expected level of competency. Assist in determining staffing requirements, demonstrates and enforces Organizational standards for quality care and customer service.
A minimum of 2 years of Ophthalmic/Optometric Tech or Specialist experience is required.
EDUCATIONHigh School diploma or equivalent is required.
LICENSURECertified Ophthalmic Assistant, Certified Ophthalmic Technician, or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist is required within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
SPECIAL SKILLSDemonstrates proficiency in all Ophthalmic Specialist duties. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others in problem identification and resolution. Proficiency with EMR usage.
