Menomonee Falls, WI. Salary range: $53,000 – $78,000. On-site, full-time.

Job Overview:
Eaton’s Industrial Controls Division seeks a Facilities Technician for the Menomonee Falls facility. The role will oversee day‑to‑day requests, preventive maintenance and building and grounds needs. The building, built in 2012, spans more than 50,000 sq ft of laboratory space, a fitness center, basketball court, ping‑pong, lunch lounge and grill & patio. Eaton’s local footprint of eight facilities and over 1,600 employees in southeastern Wisconsin provides ample opportunities for development and career growth within the region.

• Schedule, prioritize and lead day‑to‑day facility work requests, including:
  • Repairs and reconfiguration of cubicles, offices and conference rooms
  • Moving lab and office equipment
  • Construction, moving and mounting of equipment
  • Rigging of large equipment and coordination of shipping and receiving with outside services
  • Repair of restroom fixtures, coffee machines, audio/video equipment, office furniture and damaged items outdoors or in the parking lot
• Serve as the primary contact for contracted building and grounds repair and maintenance services, including:
  • Soliciting and negotiating quotes
  • Working with the Buyer to ensure all EHS contractor requirements are met before work begins
  • Working with the Buyer to issue purchase orders or pay by credit card as appropriate
  • Guiding contractors onsite to ensure compliance with Eaton safety requirements
• Lead the creation, updates and execution of a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Provide on‑call coverage for facility emergencies (e.g., structural damage, water leakage, system alarms, power loss).
• Be available for scheduled weekend support (e.g., quarterly HVAC filter changes).

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or hands‑on general repair work.
• Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of the specified location are considered; no relocation benefit is offered.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Associate’s or technical degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge.
• Knowledge or experience in HVAC.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance experience.

• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge (hand tools, forklifts, rigging equipment, basic mechanical repairs).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for contracted services.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility issues accurately.
• Knowledgeable of safety standards.
