Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven and forward‑thinking Project Manager to join our amazing culture. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, directing, application engineering, budgeting, procurement, field installation, start‑up and close‑out. You will ensure projects are executed within budgeted cost and time schedules, maintain positive cash flow, and serve as the key interface with the customer to maximize satisfaction, safety and quality.

- Manage many aspects of assigned projects (typically valued up to $1M) from award through completion, including overall site management for successful and timely completion within budget, preparing project installation plans, managing the plan and implementing job procedures.
- Translate a variety of customer needs and requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans to meet customer requirements; review and approve estimated costs prior to bid; engage in project contract negotiation; provide technical assistance to sales force as needed; supervise project design engineering; supervise installation labor and subcontractors; prepare project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, project invoices; assist with collections on projects.
- Effectively communicate project requirements to the project team and wider organization as required, and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of job status, changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing internal and external reports.
- Act as the customer’s best service provider at all times, ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.
- Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
- Proactively communicate project schedules, change proposals and related activities on a regular basis with customers, seeking to continuously improve satisfaction.
- Manage procurement (including selection) of materials, supplies and services to ensure timely and cost‑effective completion within budget.
- Establish project milestones and analyze costs; use financial systems to review actual vs. estimated job cost and provide timely, accurate project cost reports; identify reasons for low job site productivity and determine impact on the project; adjust or correct project plans and/or cost estimates as necessary to meet financial goals.
- Execute and review all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts, including cost control, delivery fulfillment, quality control standards, service quality and other customer requirements as they arise.
