Reich Tool & Design, a Menomonee Falls based, family-owned and operated Tool and Die manufacturer for 60 years is looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker. The qualified candidate would report to the Tool & Die Supervisor.

Reich Tool and Design is a true job shop, very clean with a great team culture.

Under the direction of the Toolmaker Supervisor, the Toolmaker is responsible for the coordination of projects on the shop floor; to build or repair most types and sizes of metal stamping dies, prototypes, jigs and fixtures including development, tryout and debug of tools and dies.

This is an 8-hour, in-person, first shift position Monday - Friday with possible overtime based on Company needs. Expected hours are 40 per week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Study, plan and coordinate projects with general supervision.
• Work with CNC, Wire, Waterjet and Inspection to coordinate workflow.
• Ability to provide solutions during jobs kick-offs and leadership on jobs.
• Coordinate and run multiple jobs.
• Perform part development, die tryout, die debug and tuning.
• Run all tool room machines and ensure dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
• Lead and teach support personnel in the tool & die department.
• Coordinate subcontracting and heat treating.
• Develop blanks to print with general supervision.
• Assume responsibility for dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
• Review job details (before and during) to prevent errors; act as a good decision maker and improviser as needed.
• Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote lean operations.
• Coordinate and support requirements to ensure lean operations are followed.
• Develop and document procedures and maintain required paperwork.
• Provide leadership in debriefing meetings; give candid feedback.
• Participate in self-directed work teams to address and resolve quality problems and drive continuous improvement.
• Inspect first piece, in-process, purchased parts and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Re-route product for rework.
• Update design changes on CAD and submit to design department.
• Update all required paperwork and documentation.
• Provide leadership in debriefing meetings; give candid feedback.
• Support quality policy, ISO , ISO 13485, 5S, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• Knowledge of metallurgy, GD&T, metrology and ability to read blueprints.
• Minimum 5-year apprenticeship and five years of practical experience.
• Must be able to build metal stamping dies, fixtures and prototypes.
• Ability to operate automotive, aerospace and medical industry tooling as applicable.
• Prior project leadership and experience in leading jobs; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to run and supervise multiple jobs with overtime as needed to meet customer timelines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Regular physical attendance required.
• Travel as required.
• Post offer drug screen and background check required.
• Preferred: manufacturing experience in a job shop; CAD/CAM software knowledge;
  Journey card appreciated.
