Job Summary

Wastequip is hiring a Fabricator at our Menomonee Falls, WI location. This is full‑time, 1st shift Monday‑Friday 8:00AM–4:30PM with a pay rate of $25.50 per hour.

• Fabricate steel and other metal parts as indicated by blueprints.
• Set positions and clamp stops and side guides to align length and angle of welds.
• Lift work pieces by hoist or crane to the machine bed or roller table.
• Inspect work to verify dimensions and weld completion.
• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamp parts together along layout marks.
• Lay out, position, and tack weld pieces.
• Weld along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.
• Connect regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch.
• Turn regulator valves to activate gas flow, light torch, and adjust gas mixture and pressure for desired flame.
• Hold and guide torch at proper angle to cut metal.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or splatter.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift and move up to 25 lbs.; frequently up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 90 lbs.
• Maintain vision abilities: distance, close, peripheral, and depth perception.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tape.
• Basic math and problem‑solving skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units).
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Experience in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Ability to pass all EHS required tests and clearances.
• Comprehension of simple written or oral instructions.
• Knowledge of basic math, tape‑measure reading, fractions and decimals.
• Familiarity with hydraulics.
• Safe operation of an industrial power washer.
• Experience with basic tools and troubleshooting repairs.
