Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct production personnel in railcar unloading, packaging, blending, and tanker loading.
• Develop production personnel and monitor work practices to ensure that work is safe, efficient, and accurate.
• Comply with and enforce all safety procedures, operating procedures, and policies, and reinforce a strong safety culture at the site.
• Approve and monitor overtime work.
• Develop and implement a detailed daily production schedule.
• Perform various computer transactions to add material to inventory upon receipt, print bills of lading, manage inventory, and input/communicate quality issues.
• Insure equipment is in proper operating condition; report any repair issues to the Maintenance Department.
• Represent Brenntag Pacific group in a professional manner.

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience in the chemical industry, plus three years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
• Proficient skill in Microsoft Office.
• Forklift and driving experience.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to supervise and lead others by setting expectations, monitoring performance, coaching as needed, and holding employees accountable for their performance.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
