Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is seeking a hands-on Tool Crib Coordinator to support a busy precision machining operation. The client is expected to double in size over the next 18 months. Very solid financials.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tooling, supporting machinists, staying organized, and helping keep manufacturing running efficiently. You'll become a key resource to the shop by ensuring cutting tools, consumables, and production support items are available where and when they're needed.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage tooling inventory and support thousands of tooling SKUs used throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Coordinate the issuance, return, inspection, organization, and storage of production tooling.
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and well-managed tool crib using 5S principles.
  • Monitor tooling usage and inventory levels while supporting replenishment planning.
  • Assist with tooling reconditioning, cleaning, minor maintenance, and routine calibration activities.
  • Support receiving activities for tooling and production-related materials.
  • Work closely with Machining, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Operations to keep production moving.

We're interested in professionals with experience in:

  • Precision machining or CNC manufacturing
  • Tool cribs or tooling support
  • Cutting tools, inserts, holders, drills, taps, end mills, or related tooling
  • Inventory control and/or purchasing within a manufacturing environment
  • Metal removal, secondary operations, or engineered metal products

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical curiosity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, customer-service mindset focused on supporting manufacturing.
  • The ability to prioritize, stay organized, and work independently.
  • A hands-on approach and a desire to spend time on the manufacturing floor.

If you enjoy supporting the people who make great products and want to become an important part of a growing manufacturing organization, we'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you confidentially.
