Certification Details
- Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.
- Competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population.
- Role adapted from ANA Nursing:
Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
Job Details
- Minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Associate’s degree in nursing required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from Nurse Licensure Compact required.
Job Requirements
- 12-hour shifts, 3rd shift.
- 36 hours per week.
- Every other weekend.
- Float as needed.
Schedule Information
- Modified Care Unit (cardiac telemetry care).
Unit Specific Information
- Experience with cardiac telemetry care required.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including MI, CHF, COPD, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment.
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
