Certifications:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) AHA Heart Code Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers
Must-Have:
Cardiac Telemetry Care experience Working with diverse patient populations Patient assessment Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice
Description:
The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. Essential functions are adapted from the ANA Nursing:
Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition. The role requires working with diverse patient populations including those with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and any other patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is required.
