Lutheran Social Services (LSS) seeks a Maintenance Tech to support safe, comfortable environments across our healthcare and social service programs. This role performs routine and preventive maintenance, including basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs in residential and program facilities. The Maintenance Tech completes work orders, assists with room turns and minor renovations, and responds to emergencies to minimize service disruption.
Working in a mission‑driven, client‑centered setting, this position helps ensure our spaces reflect dignity, safety, and accessibility for individuals and families we serve while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, resident rooms, and common areas to ensure safety and comfort
- Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues or coordinate vendors when needed
- Complete work orders promptly, document repairs, and communicate status to supervisors and program staff
- Conduct safety inspections, test equipment, and support compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory; recommend cost‑effective repair or replacement solutions
- Assist with room turns, minor renovations, painting, and fixture installation to support housing and program needs
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and on‑call needs to minimize disruption to residents and services
- Collaborate with care and housing teams to support client‑centered, trauma‑informed environments
- Follow LSS policies, infection‑control, and confidentiality standards while working in sensitive settings
- Support mission‑driven initiatives by ensuring facilities reflect dignity, accessibility, and respect for clients
- General building maintenance and repair

- Ability to pass background and health screenings required for healthcare/social services settings
