Messer Cutting Systems offers innovative software programs that effectively streamline processes. Our Software Solutions Engineer is an effective link between our customer’s machine and commercial products. This position will manage the planning, launch, marketing, and lifecycle of software solutions offered by Messer Cutting Systems.

• Responsible for identifying common errors, following established procedures to resolve issues, and escalating more complex problems as needed.
• Listen to customers, internal and external, and provide “sellable” features to our software provider Messer Soft.
• Facilitate remote, in-house, and onsite customer training on CAD/CAM programming software.
• Specialty in software support, installation, training, and troubleshooting.
• Work between customers and Messer’s proprietary software vender on commissioning of new software products.
• Coordinate and provide guidance on software installations.
• Networking support for Messer’s software & cloud based applications.
• Post Processor development and support.
• Assist customers with unique or custom software solutions.
• Provide demonstrations, marketing materials, videos, power points, etc.
• Software demonstrations at trade shows and on an individual basis.
• Generating software proposals and software order processing.
• Assist with software subscription renewal invoicing.
• Attending trade shows and sales meetings.
• Creating software troubleshooting/installation guides.
• Support creation of post processors for 3rd party machines.
• Work with 3rd party software companies for integrations.
• Review process data for new processes.
• Travel up to 25%

• Associate’s Degree in related field
• 3 years of related experience preferred automated machinery and metal fabrication
• Experience with CAD/CAM software

• General software troubleshooting experience
• Basic understanding of software errors, system logs, and user-reported problems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with SQL Server
• AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS experience
• Advanced interpersonal, communication skills, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees and customers
• Knowledge of CNC equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with good organizational skills and the adaptability to work on multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills required
• Self-starter with determination for completing tasks
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
