- Receiving and Unloading:
Receive incoming shipments, inspect them for accuracy and damages, and record relevant information. Safely unload materials or products from delivery trucks. - Storage and Organization:
Properly store items in designated locations, ensuring that items are organized and easy to access. Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse environment. - Order Picking:
Accurately pick items from the inventory according to order lists and pack them for shipping. Ensure that the correct quantity and quality of items are selected. - Packing and Labeling:
Safely and securely pack items for shipping, ensuring that packages are appropriately labeled. Use packaging materials effectively to prevent damage during transit. - Shipping:
Prepare packages for shipping by verifying shipping labels, addressing, and ensuring they are ready for carriers. Load items onto delivery trucks as needed. - Inventory Management:
Conduct regular inventory checks, report discrepancies, and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels. Assist in the organization of stock and shelving units. - Quality Control:
Inspect products for damage and report any quality issues to the supervisor. Help maintain the quality of stored items. - Equipment Operation:
Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. - Safety Compliance:
Follow safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipping, and receiving activities. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed correctly. - Communication:
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations. Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and external vendors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a warehouse worker or a related role is a plus.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (if required).
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Good communication skills.
- Reading a tape measure to the 16th of an inch.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
