This position is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordinating resources, managing subcontractors, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between owners, engineers, field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments while providing leadership that reflects Pember Companies' commitment to safety, integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities- Manage multiple excavation, utility, site development, paving, and concrete construction projects simultaneously.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project startup meetings with field personnel.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule or budget concerns.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Monitor job costs, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material expenses.
- Review daily production reports and job cost reports.
- Prepare monthly cost forecasts and revenue projections.
- Review subcontractor invoices and approve vendor payments.
- Prepare and negotiate change orders.
- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
- Assist with Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and monthly financial reviews.
- Develop and manage project budgets.

- Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
- Attend owner meetings and project progress meetings.
- Communicate project updates clearly and professionally.
- Resolve project issues quickly while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews.
- Ensure labor, equipment, and materials are available when needed.
- Monitor production rates and project performance.
- Assist with scheduling crews and subcontractors.
- Support field personnel in resolving construction challenges.
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain project correspondence.
- Process Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders.
- Review project specifications and contract requirements.
- Track contract milestones and deadlines.
- Promote Pember Companies' safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Participate in project safety meetings.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company quality standards.
