- Assist in personnel development plans and maintain personnel policies to assure compliance with credit union policy
- Prepare and process recommendations for employee goal setting, performance evaluations, and one on one coaching
- Support with screening of new potential hires
- Conduct staff training for new and existing employees. May function as a subject matter expert to support Training department
- Handle escalated member situations and resolve concerns in a timely manner. May perform as an interim manager in the absence of direct manager
- Assist manager in day-to-day collection operations to include auditing of collection accounts for compliance with credit union policies and procedures
- Review and analyze collection accounts and recommend corrective action to management
- Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement
- May contact and follow-up with members and arrange appropriate action for resolution of accounts not in good standing; including, but not limited to, negative shares, delinquent loans, or suspected fraud
- Coordinate and monitor workflows ensuring all accounts are worked regularly and properly. Analyze inventory of delinquent loans and assign work accordingly
- Handles advanced and non-routine loan default situations
- May represent credit union in small claims judicial system
- Analyze collection related bills and authorize payment
- Assist with monitoring of outside vendors for compliance with credit union policies and standards
- Maintain and recommend appropriate changes to current collection policies and procedures
- Function as point of contact for inter-departmental on-line collection system and related issues
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required
- 3-5 years of related work experience required
- 2-3 years of leadership experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call for other duties, as needed
