Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator
Pay Range: $60K - $70K
Shift: 1st M-F 8a - 5pm
The Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring materials, supplies, and services are available when needed. This position manages vendor relationships, negotiates pricing and delivery terms, coordinates purchase orders and shipments, and partners with Operations and Production to maintain efficient inventory levels and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Source materials, supplies, and services from qualified vendors
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements
- Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders
- Coordinate inbound shipments and monitor delivery schedules
- Track inventory levels to support production requirements
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify cost‑saving opportunities
- Resolve purchasing, shipment, and invoice discrepancies
- Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation
- Partner with Production, Operations, and Project Management to support business needs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing and logistics
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required
- 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred
- Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities
- Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards is a plus
