Maintenance Mechanic

* * Complies with recognized environmental health and safety standards and safe work practices.*
* * Attends relevant training in respect to achieving the assigned tasks.*
* * Assists skilled trades with their maintenance and repair work as needed.*
* * Keeps work areas clean, organize and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and equipment/storage areas.  Inventory items as determined.*
* * Perform building checks, identify deficient items and submit work orders for deficient items.*
* * Performs other duties as necessary for the University to function with a minimum number of interruptions.*
* * Uses campus e-mail and internet programs for communication and information, as needed, to compliment campus protocol.*
* * Performs record keeping for all activities above.*
* * A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required for the operation of all state licensed vehicles.*
* * Basic smartphone, tablet and computer skills including email, internet and record keeping.*
* * Must be able to pass a background check and essential job function test.
