Overview
As the Meat Department Assistant Manager, you will assist the Meat Department Manager in all facets of meat department operations. Duties include preparing products for sale, controlling freshness by coding, rotating, or culling all products, removing out-of-code merchandise, providing customer service, managing employee relations, controlling expenses, handling inventory, managing shrink, and maintaining accurate records.

- Prepare products for sale.
- Control freshness by coding, rotating, or culling all products.
- Remove out-of-code merchandise.
- Provide customer service.
- Manage employee relations.
- Control expenses.
- Handle inventory.
- Manage shrink.
- Maintain accurate record keeping.
- Direct staff when in charge of the department, including workload distribution, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 10% employee discount on grocery items, with additional franchise‑specific discounts available at company-owned Ace Hardware, Caribou Coffee, Erbert and Gerbert’s, and Pet Supplies Plus locations.
- Get Paid Daily with Daily Pay – for employees who would like access to their pay before payday.
