Raking;
Mix Mortar; - Operate hand held concrete saw;
Jumping jack compactor; tapping machine - Confined space entry
- Locate buried utility lines (gas, phone, etc)
- Work inside of a trench box
- Maintain safety in the trench & equipment
- Join plastic pipe & fittings; ductile iron pipe & fittings
- Set castings & valve boxes to grade;
- Connect watermain (cut-ins, turning water off, wet taps)
- Proper bed of pipes;
Hydrant Extensions;
Test watermain, sewer main - Communicate with hoe operator
- Hook pipe & structures to backhoe
- Keep slings & cables in good condition, notifying when replacement is needed
- Fill in wherever needed to get the job done
- Majority of field work, may be on your feet most of the working day, may require some heavy lifting, some operation of equipment may be required
