About the Position
The Repair Planner / Estimator supports collision operations by leading vehicle disassembly, conducting thorough damage inspections, and accurately documenting all repairs. This role is responsible for creating detailed repair estimates and submitting them to insurance companies or customers for approval. Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Primary Job Functions- Vehicle Disassembly & Damage Documentation:
Lead vehicle disassembly and manage all damage documentation using the estimating system and digital photos. - Repair Planning:
Assist in establishing realistic repair plans based on parts availability and current shop volume. - Estimating:
Create accurate repair estimates for vehicle repairs. - Customer Communication:
Explain the repair process, parts used, and repair expectations to customers in a clear and professional manner. - Parts Coordination:
Work with the Parts Department to obtain all required parts to complete repairs efficiently. - Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
- Minimum of 3+ years of auto body estimating experience in a collision repair environment.
- Proficiency with collision estimating software (CCC One or equivalent required).
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to use estimating systems, digital imaging tools, and basic office applications.
- Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced shop environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving and background requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Organized and methodical approach to repair planning and documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain repair processes clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Self‑motivated and accountable, with strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shop for extended periods while inspecting vehicles and coordinating repairs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform visual inspections of vehicles during disassembly and repair planning.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to approximately 25-30 pounds.
- Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, moving vehicles, and standard automotive equipment while following established safety procedures.

In addition, we run a Motor Vehicle Report to check for a valid driver license, prior citations/suspensions and total points on the license, if applicable. Salary: $50,000 - $85,000 per year
