Business Development Manager – Industrial & Technical Markets

Location: Mentor, OH |
Salary: $85K–$95K + Commission & Bonuses

We are partnering with a leading industrial company in Mentor, OH to find a hands-on Business Development Manager to drive growth in industrial and technical markets. This role is perfect for a relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and contributing to strategic initiatives.

Experience in Aerospace, Technical, or Industrial Industries is highly preferred.

• Grow business with new and existing customers through proactive account and market development
• Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for products and markets
• Build strong customer relationships and account strategies
• Manage pricing, quotations, contracts, and negotiations
• Leverage traditional and digital channels to identify opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients for a results-driven approach
• Track progress and report key insights to management
• Ensure compliance with quality and industry standards
• Travel as required to client sites, trade shows, and suppliers

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical or industrial background highly desired
• Minimum 5 years of industrial sales or marketing experience in an industrial setting
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office); ERP/CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce) a plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Experience in aerospace, defense, power generation, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or medical markets is a plus

• Ability to sit and type for extended periods
• Safety glasses required when on the shop floor
