Job DescriptionFULL YEAR LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE INTERVENTION SPECIALIST - ED Unit Rate: $150 per day (1-20 days) $175 (21-60 days) Teacher Salary Schedule (61st day forward) Licensure: K-12 Intervention Specialist License
Qualifications:
- Must have appropriate, valid certification or license to teach the content area as recognized by the Ohio Department of Education.
- Successful completion of ODE's Science of Reading Course and Dyslexia Course or any other state-approved Structured Literacy/Dyslexia training.
- Experience teaching a structured multi-sensory literacy intervention phonics program is preferred.
- Experience providing small-group targeted math intervention to address learning gaps.
- Individuals must possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for progress monitoring and reporting progress to classroom teachers, intervention teams, and building administration.
- Responsible for administering assessments and analyzing data to identify instructional gaps and develop personalized interventions.
- Use a variety of manipulatives and hands-on activities to support content standards and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
