HQ Classroom Assistant – 189 days, 7 hours per day (8:15 am – 3:45 pm; half-hour lunch) in the ED Unit at Shore Middle School, Mentor, Ohio.

$17.04 – $22.71 hourly (8 steps)

• Must have proficiency in reading and math.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities, clerical work, and supervise one or small groups of students.
• Must be able to work in a one-on-one environment.
• Occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with students, parents, administration, and other staff members.
• Must meet Highly Qualified Classroom Assistant requirements.

If you need to take the Para Pro Assessment, you will take the test in Mentor after being hired as a full-time employee. A two-hour block will be scheduled for you at the Board of Education office.

The ESEA designation is a one-time cost of $20.00 that must be added to your ODE Educational Aide permit. This is a condition of employment.
