Position Summary: The Engineering Manager has full technical and managerial responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering department assignments. This role is also responsible for new product introduction, cost reduction initiatives, and maintenance activities on production parts.

Essential Functions:

• Support engineering department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
• Provide a strong technical presence and interface with customers.
• Confer with the engineering team, operations, and sales to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
• Selects, trains, organizes and supervises subordinates to guarantee their effectiveness and personal growth.
• Develop a pipeline of engineering and leadership through engagement with Co-op and Development programs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production departments on new concepts, technical issues and overall manufacturing objectives.
• Champion and support the Engineering Group's specific needs and requirements.
• Establishes and executes annual operating budgets with input from Finance Group.
• Formulates long and short-range strategies for engineering functions.
• Monthly and weekly forecasting and capacity review.

Experience &

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or related Engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years engineering experience in investment casting.
