SummaryThe co‑op student will be working on job assignments related to their computer science or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide (first) an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for various projects.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and test control algorithms and software.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and debugging of control systems.
- Support the integration of hardware and software components.
- Conduct research and analysis to improve existing control systems.
- Work with controls and automation equipment.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Attend a weekly departmental meeting.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and review sessions.
- Take on any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of control systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Full‑time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering.
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical skills: the ability to work through technical issues.

- Co‑ops will be paid $25.00 per hour / 40 hours a week.
- Given top priority for future co‑op rotations and full‑time positions.
