Verdantas is seeking a Project Manager to support and lead planning initiatives across transportation, hazard mitigation, and community‑focused projects. This role involves managing planning processes from concept through delivery, coordinating with public agencies and stakeholders, overseeing schedules and deliverables, and producing high‑quality technical and plain‑language documentation. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal project teams, and regulatory partners while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local planning requirements.

What

You’ll Do
  • Manage and support multi‑disciplinary planning projects, including transportation planning, hazard mitigation planning, and community‑based initiatives.
  • Coordinate project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staff assignments to ensure timely and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Lead and participate in public engagement activities such as open houses, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and one‑on‑one discussions with community partners.
  • Develop, review, and manage planning documents, reports, policies, and guidance materials for public agencies and community stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, facilitating clear communication, managing expectations, and supporting long‑term relationships.
  • Collaborate with federal, state, regional, and local agencies to ensure projects align with applicable regulations, policies, and funding requirements.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and synthesis using local, state, and federal sources to inform planning recommendations.
  • Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping tools to support analysis and presentation of planning data.
  • Track trends, risks, and common gaps in planning efforts to identify opportunities for technical assistance, process improvement, and training.
  • Support proposal development, including technical writing, scope development, and coordination with project teams.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in planning land services or infrastructure consulting.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and project coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with municipal or public‑sector clients preferred.

Salary Range:
The minimum salary for this position is $95,000. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications. We recognize and reward exceptional performance and strive to ensure fair compensation across all roles and departments within the company.
