Verdantas is seeking a Project Manager to support and lead planning initiatives across transportation, hazard mitigation, and community-focused projects. This role involves managing planning processes from concept through delivery, coordinating with public agencies and stakeholders, overseeing schedules and deliverables, and producing high-quality technical and plain-language documentation. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal project teams, and regulatory partners while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local planning requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and support multi-disciplinary planning projects, including transportation planning, hazard mitigation planning, and community-based initiatives
- Coordinate project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staff assignments to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Lead and participate in public engagement activities such as open houses, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and one-on-one discussions with community partners.
- Develop, review, and manage planning documents, reports, policies, and guidance materials for public agencies and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, facilitating clear communication, managing expectations, and supporting long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with federal, state, regional, and local agencies to ensure projects align with applicable regulations, policies, and funding requirements.
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and synthesis using local, state, and federal sources to inform planning recommendations.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping tools to support analysis and presentation of planning data.
- Track trends, risks, and common gaps in planning efforts to identify opportunities for technical assistance, process improvement, and training.
- Support proposal development, including technical writing, scope development, and coordination with project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in planning land services, or infrastructure consulting
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement and project coordination
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with municipal or public-sector clients preferred
The minimum salary for this position is $95,000.00. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications.
