Position Overview

Verdantas is seeking an Engineering Staff I at our Mentor, Ohio, location. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or emerging professionals ready to transition from academic learning to impactful, real-world engineering.

• Provide technical planning and design support on various utility projects that may include storm and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution, and other civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations to support design.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D Civil 3D.
• Prepare plans and specifications for public bid.
• Prepare/assist with permit submittals.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
• Document design changes and communications.
• Conduct on-site inspections as needed.
• Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 0-3 years of experience in civil-site and municipal engineering.
• Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS software is a plus.

Starting at $68,000.00.
