Job DescriptionThe Engineering Technician is responsible for process improvements and the documentation of such processes in accordance with Core-Tech and customer specifications.
Duties And Responsibilities- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Record-keeping skills
- Ability to use calipers and micrometers
- Ability to use customer-supplied gauging
- Write procedures and or work instructions for all aspects of the process
- Maintaining lot tractability
- Troubleshooting problems throughout the process
- Support engineering in the testing of material and facilitating the outsourcing of such testing
- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrate the ability to use both liquid and dry measuring devices (i.e. scale and graduated cylinder)
- Record-keeping skills
- Ability to use calipers and micrometers
- Maintaining traceability
- A positive attitude
- Great attendance
The Engineering Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and has a support responsibility to all functional managers.
Job RequirementsThe Engineering Technician should have a technical degree or is working towards one, preferably in a field that offers an opportunity to gain a well-rounded background. Additional classwork in management-type courses and problem-solving techniques are preferred but not needed (i.e. Statistical Quality Control/Statistical Process Control). Must be able to read instructions as well as blueprints and also apply basic mathematical skills.
