Civil Drafter I

ACO, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Drafter I to join our Engineering & Design department in the construction industry. In this entry-level role, you'll support engineers by preparing civil drawings, including site, grading, and utility plans using AutoCAD and related tools. You'll translate redlines into accurate construction documents, maintain CAD standards, and assist with basic calculations and plan checks. At ACOSWM, you'll work in a collaborative environment focused on quality, safety, and compliance while contributing to innovative, industry-advancing projects and developing your drafting skills and career.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil drawings under guidance of engineers and senior designers
• Update plans, profiles, and details for site, grading, and utility projects
• Interpret redlines, specifications, and markups into accurate CAD revisions
• Maintain CAD standards, file organization, and documentation accuracy
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to resolve design issues
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and basic design calculations as directed
• Ensure drawings comply with company, client, and regulatory requirements
• Support multiple projects while meeting quality, safety, and schedule goals
