Aerospace Process Engineer

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) seeks an Aerospace Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and standardize casting and machining processes for critical aerospace components. In this on-site role, you will define process parameters, create routings and work instructions, and support PPAP, first article, and qualification builds. You'll lead root cause investigations, drive continuous improvement using LEAN/Six Sigma tools, and collaborate with quality, engineering, and operations to improve yield, reduce defects, and ensure compliance with aerospace and customer requirements in a safety- and quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize casting and machining processes for aerospace components
• Create and maintain routings, process documentation, and work instructions
• Support PPAP, first article, and qualification builds for new and existing products
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to address process issues and defects
• Analyze yield, scrap, and process data to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with quality, design engineering, and operations on manufacturability and compliance
• Ensure processes meet aerospace, customer, and internal quality standards (e.g., NADCAP/AS9100)
• Implement LEAN/Six Sigma tools to improve efficiency, cost, and throughput
• Provide technical shop-floor support for production and troubleshooting
• Contribute to cross-plant and continuous improvement initiatives
