Loan Officer

Cardinal Credit Union seeks a dedicated Loan Officer to join our team, aiding clients in navigating the complex process of securing loans. The Loan Officer will be integral in assessing member needs, advising on suitable financial products, and ensuring a smooth transaction and compliance process. Candidates should have a strong background in financial consulting, knowledge of loan compliance regulations, and a robust skill set in customer service and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of loan applications for individuals and businesses.
• Advise borrowers on financial status and methods of payments, including mortgage loans, home equity, and personal loans.
• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Guide customers through the loan application process and gather necessary documentation.
• Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions.
• Stay knowledgeable of the credit union's offerings and the regulations affecting loan approvals.
