The Medication Technician supports resident care by assisting with activities of daily living and administering medications in accordance with each resident’s care plan and physician orders.
Administer medications and treatments per care plans and licensed provider orders
Accurately document medication administration and treatments
Communicate with pharmacy regarding refills, changes, and discrepancies
Support residents with daily living activities (mobility, transfers, personal care)
Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life
Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
Assist with household tasks (meal prep, cleaning, laundry)
Complete incident reporting and narcotic counts per policy
Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment
Collaborate with team members and participate in care planning
QualificationsRequired:
Minimum 18 years of age
Certified Medication Aid Certificate
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with resident mobility
Ability to complete accurate documentation
Preferred:
High School Diploma or equivalent
CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
2+ years of experience in long-term care or healthcare
Valid Driver’s License
Fast-paced, resident-centered senior living community
Requires walking, bending, lifting, and assisting residents throughout shift
