Position SummaryThe HR Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, with a strong emphasis on employee data management, benefits administration, and payroll processing. This role is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and focused on accurate execution of established HR procedures under guidance from HR leadership.
Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HCM system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including creation of first week orientation schedules, document collection, system entries, and checklist completion
- Respond to routing employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, benefits, and payroll
- Assist with personnel file maintenance, audits, and compliance documentation (e.g., I-9’s)
- Prepare routine HR reports as requested
- Assist with regular payroll processing by accurately entering employee data, time records, deductions, and adjustments
- Review payroll reports for errors and elevate discrepancies to HR leadership
- Process standard payroll changes (new hires, terminations, rate changes)
- Respond to standard employee payroll questions and resolve routine issues
- Support benefits enrollment, changes, and termination in the benefits and HCM platforms
- Assist with open enrollment preparation, communications, and data audits
- Coordinate with benefits vendors under direction to resolve basic eligibility and enrollment issues
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Working knowledge of, or familiarity with, employment laws and regulations
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion when handling confidential information
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient organizational and time-management skills
- Customer service mindset with professional communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field of study (or a combination of equivalent education and experience)
- Minimum of three years of experience in a HR operations, generalist, payroll, or benefits support role
- Experience using a Human Capital Management (HCM) system like Paycor, Paylocity, or Bamboo
Salary Range: TBD
- Salary is dependent on experience and location.
