The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Works directly with Benefits Broker to coordinate, maintain, and design benefits programs.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
- Maintains responsibility for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.)
- Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
- Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary program.
- Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.(i.e. wage increases, disciplines, PIP's)
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in training and development for the company.
- Maintains a human resource system that meets company personnel information needs.
- Supervises the staff of the human resource department.
- SHRM certification is a plus (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR)
- Oversees company training program and grant programs.
This position is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the department. Oversees the activities of direct reports.
Requirements- Work onsite a minimum of 8 hours per day, Monday thru Friday.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Conduct presentations in front of the entire employee population.
- Move around freely on the shop floor and walk up and down steps and between buildings on the campus.
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
Pay is based on experience and competency.
