Crossroads Health, a 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization with facilities located in Mentor, Painesville, and Cleveland, serves Northeast Ohio communities with comprehensive behavioral and primary integrated healthcare, early childhood services, extended housing and recovery services—no matter one’s ability to pay. We are currently seeking an experienced leader for the position of Director of Development
. This senior leadership role is responsible for advancing the mission and long‑term sustainability of Crossroads Health. The Director provides strategic oversight and hands‑on leadership for all fundraising, grant development, and donor engagement efforts, while supervising the organization’s marketing and communications functions to ensure a consistent, compelling message aligned with our mission. Working collaboratively with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership team, the Director plays a critical role in securing diverse revenue streams, strengthening community partnerships, and increasing the organization’s visibility and impact.

• Supervise marketing and communications efforts, ensuring organization-wide adherence to brand identity; oversee all external PR activities—including website, social media, press releases, advertising, publications, and internal newsletters—to increase positive awareness; serve as the primary development spokesperson.
• Supervise grants management; plan and implement annual campaigns, including annual appeals, events, planned giving, major gifts, and grants targeting a variety of external sources (donors, individuals, corporations, foundations, local/state/federal agencies); provide strategic direction of donor cultivation and solicitation.
• Oversee the development department’s fundraising operations and achievement of annual departmental goals and objectives; report to the CEO and senior leadership, and work with the board and its committees; consult with the VP of Finance on funding matters related to budget management, cost‑benefit analysis, forecasting, and securing new funding.
• Supervise and manage the workforce and contractors across multiple locations, including staff and volunteers.
• Maintain the donor database system, ensuring it is updated and accurate regarding donor information, gift acknowledgement, and donor contact reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum five (5) years of senior leadership experience in a nonprofit organization.
• Demonstrated history of successful advancement, foundation relations, donor cultivation, and major‑gift solicitation.
• CFRE or ACFRE certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (≤ 4 points); reliable transportation; automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property.
• All new hires required to submit to a 10‑panel drug screen, including screening for THC.
