JOB SUMMARY
The Thermal Spray Technician (Level I) is a position in the field of thermal spray application. Thermal spray is a process used to apply a wide array of materials using manual spray techniques and computer programmed applications (CNC) to metal. The department specializes in depositing various materials onto turbine engine components for dimensional restoration using thermal spray equipment. This position will work alongside experienced thermal spray technicians to develop techniques, knowledge, and skills under the supervision of a professional team.
As skills increase, responsibilities and hands-on experience grow.
The work is performed in a climate-controlled, modern facility. Through an extensive in-house training program, successful applicants will receive computer-based and hands-on training to develop the necessary skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThrough an extensive in-house training program (on-the-job training), the successful applicant will acquire the necessary skills through computer-based and hands-on training.
- A minimum of six months to one year of experience in the thermal spray process.
- Able to use measuring devices such as scales, micrometers, dial indicators, go/no-go gauges, etc.
- Experience in reading shop drawings and work instructions and documenting work performed.
- Previous experience operating overhead cranes.
- General experience using files and other hand tools to remove sharp edges from metal surfaces.
- High school or technical school graduate or equivalent.
- Familiar with or able to learn basic shop math.
- Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to use hand tools and have good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
