JOB SUMMARY

The Production Labor Analyst provides detailed analysis and visibility to labor factors for the production department, customer program management, and executive management teams. Analysis includes labor factor results, program specific data, current trends, comparisons to prior results and a labor factor summary with recommended continuous improvement initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Production Department, Customer Program Management Department and Management team with detailed hour(s) analysis monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Analyze and report labor factor actuals vs. projections, identify trends for areas of opportunities to increase the accuracy of the labor factor.
  • Review and report statistical data on Variable Labor Factor(s) (VLF) accuracy rate for each department, including suggestions and/or alterations to the current VLF being utilized.
  • Collaborate with Production Department and Customer Program Departments to highlight program issues, trends, opportunities.
  • Detailed analysis of production to include time gates that impact production department hourly distribution and capacity planning.
  • Assist with Industrialization process to determine projected labor factor hours.
  • Confirm/approve labor factor change request to ensure consistency, standards, and accuracy are maintained.
  • Audit work instruction standards – Labor type.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the field of manufacturing and/or aerospace repair in a responsible position.
  • Proven experience as a self‑starter who can work independently and apply strong conceptual thinking in identifying trends and effective solutions with minimal direction.
  • Previous experience with projects and assignments that demonstrate a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks and initiatives within defined timelines.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • A two or four‑year degree in technical discipline is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability and experience to create, troubleshoot, and optimize complex Excel formulas.
  • Knowledge of general shop procedures and industrial technical experience helpful.
  • Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Pre‑employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
  • Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
