Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications and machining parameters.
- Proficient in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and shop mathematics in the cutting tool industry.
- Perform multiple set‑ups daily on CNC 5‑axis and mill machines.
- Work independently or alongside a team to train or guide others.
- Know how to program CNC equipment.
- Inspect your own work using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
- Ensure the daily production plan is executed and met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical, tooling, and fixture issues to improve efficiency.
- Track all work in process within the department, ensuring all materials are identified and traceable.
- Help employees regarding CNC machine setup, operation, malfunctions, etc.
- Identify and communicate production issues in a timely manner.
- Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Equivalent to high school education or related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions, dealing with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical DemandsStand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
