Woodworker/Machine Operator
- Mentor, Ohio

Onsite Position (Because of current staffing limitations, these positions require prior relevant experience. We are interested in someone who can step in with minimal supervision.)

Pay

$19 – $28 per hour, based on experience and shift

Day Shift

Monday & Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (51 hours total per week during busy season)

Afternoon Shift

Monday – Friday: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM, 5 days per week (10-hour shifts during busy season)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Required to work with other associates in assembly of millwork and casework
  • Operate woodworking machines such as saws, milling and sanding machines, drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, planers, banders, glue machines, and wood-fastening and adhesives
  • Use of assembly machinery; case and frame clamp, table saw, chop saw, router, drill, and band saw
  • Hinge boring and insertion
  • Hardware installation and reassembly of finished products
  • Help with the addition of base, trim, crown moldings, and other items to various architectural component units
  • Operate highly technical and advanced computerized numerical control (CNC) machines
  • Work with various woods, veneers, laminates, metals, adhesives
  • Wood finishing with painting, staining, and top coating
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Possess working knowledge of woodworking and general assembly techniques
  • Will require ability to grip and grasp lumber and panels for fabrication
  • Prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing
  • Understand detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled use of sanders, glue machines, banders, and hand tools
  • Must be able to achieve results in an accurate and timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, and others
  • Be able to share knowledge and ideas with others on the team
  • Perform activities that directly support team outcomes
  • Must be able to lift repetitively materials and/or parts weighing approximately 5-10 pounds
  • In order to get current job completed on-time may require overtime beyond traditional 50-55 hour work week
