Position: Production Supervisor - Machining (2nd Shift, Mon-Fri)
Job Summary
The Machine Department Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the department, which may include manual, CNC, and grinding processes. This position will lead their team to meet and exceed customer goals and will ensure that the scheduled work is executed safely and systematically so that qualified technicians can perform the assigned tasks. The supervisor will maintain, optimize, and operate machines and equipment efficiently, monitor the completion of work, and ensure that quality standards are met.
The Production Supervisor will apply their knowledge and skills in various manufacturing disciplines to repair and modify turbine engine components. This position will collaborate with other production supervisors through an established and effective channel of communications and will operate in a climate-controlled and modern manufacturing setting.

Duties and Responsibilities
Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.Oversee the safety and well‑being of the team in accordance with company standards.Monitor assigned work while reviewing completed jobs/projects to ensure adherence to work scope and company expectations.Collaborate with designated trainers and department managers to monitor, guide, and improve employee development (including cross‑training) and process improvements.Participate and contribute to regularly scheduled department meetings, including monthly meetings and smaller, more frequent group meetings as required. Communicate changes that affect employees in a timely manner.Monitor and ensure team members are adhering to written and verbal work instructions, use approved gauges and tools, and inspect parts to determine required material removal.Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve desired results.Work with production planners to prioritize tasks and ensure orders are completed on time.Ensure production schedules are followed and adjust as necessary due to machine outages and staffing schedules.Manage personnel work hours, scheduled time off, shift schedules, and overtime to meet customer requirements.Assume ownership of continuous improvement projects as assigned.Responsible for reviewing reports and tracking mechanisms of performance indicators and integrating information into successful improvement plans.Perform functions such as performance reviews, employee development, accountability of team members, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action in partnership with the department manager.Required Qualifications
A minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment or similar.Three years’ experience (or similar) as a machinist with knowledge or familiarity in one, all, or a combination of:- Machining to include setup and operation of:
- Manual lathe, milling or /OD grinding.
- CNC lathe, milling or /OD grinding.
Two-plus year’s experience in:- GD&T.
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings and technical diagrams.
- Experience in and a demonstrated solid foundation in the knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
Other Qualifications
