Plastic Extrusion Machinist - Second Shift

Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Plastic Extrusion Machinist who will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic cylinders and profiles that meet customer specifications for quality, quantity, and on-time delivery. You will work second shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate extrusion equipment
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
• Perform measurements and inspections using micrometers and calipers
• Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments as needed
• Follow safety and quality procedures

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Previous machine setup and operation experience required
• Must have a strong mechanical and technical ability
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues
• Must be able to pay a high attention to detail and commitment to quality
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed
• Must be safety-conscious, be dependable, and have steel toed boots
• Must be able to follow safety and quality procedures
