Experienced Cutting Tools machinist of CNC 5 Axis Mills w/ Okuma OSP Controls

• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications and machining parameters in the cutting tool industry
• Proficient in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and shop mathematics in the cutting tool industry
• Perform multiple set ups daily on CNC 5 Axis and mill machines
• Can work independently and alongside team to train or guide
• Ability to know how to program
• Inspect own work utilizing precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tight tolerances
• Ensure the daily production plan is executed and met
• Troubleshoot complex technical, tooling, and fixture issues to improve efficiency
• Track all work in process within department, ensure all materials are identified and traceable
• Help employees regarding CNC machine setup, operation, malfunctions, etc.
• Identify and communicate production issues in a timely manner
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to jobs

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
