Job Title: CNC Lathe Setup Technician

Responsibilities- Set up CNC lathe machines for production based on setup sheets and blueprints
- Install and align work holding devices such as chucks, collets, and fixtures
- Load CNC programs and verify correct machine setup before production runs
- Install and set cutting tools including turning tools, boring bars, drills, and threading tools
- Set tool offsets and work offsets
- Perform first-piece inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, chatter, or dimensional problems
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to maintain efficient production
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- 3+ years of CNC lathe setup or advanced machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong knowledge of turning operations such as facing, threading, grooving, and boring
- Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc CNC Control or Haas CNC Control
- Proficiency with measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and thread gauges
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Technical or trade school training in machining or manufacturing
- Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360
- Experience with live tooling or mill-turn lathes
