Position: Foundry Operator (4th Shift)

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Foundry Operator (Furnace Helper) to join our team on 4th Shift in Mentor, Ohio. This role plays a critical part in supporting vacuum casting operations while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced foundry environment.

This position offers a clear path to grow into a Vacuum Casting Technician
, with hands‑on training in advanced casting processes and furnace operations.

Schedule:

4th Shift – Rotating Day Shift

Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Week 1

  • Work:
    Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2

  • Off:
    Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Key Responsibilities
  • Train to perform the duties of a Vacuum Casting Technician
  • Operate vacuum furnaces, including Equiax, Directional Solidification (D.S.), and Single Crystal furnaces
  • Record all required production and process data accurately
  • Ram crucibles and assist with furnace setup and changeovers, including D.S. susceptors, coils, and melt coils
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering specifications, and special lot instructions
  • Meet established production and efficiency goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
  • Develop a strong understanding of foundry processes and materials
  • Organize work to support efficient production flow
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Experience
  • Manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
  • Experience working with industrial equipment or high‑temperature processes is a plus
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education)
