Machine Shop Technician - 1st shift

Essential Functions

• Perform repetitive machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming and smoothing parts.
• Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followed.
• Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surface.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and cracks or other irregularities from machined parts.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gauges or other measuring instruments.
• Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining a clean work area in orderly condition.
• Read analog / digital MICS / COMPAI/RATORS / PROFILOMETER.
• Strong lathe background preferred.
• Perform other related responsibilities.

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have manual machining experience.
• Minimum 1‑2 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
