CNC Swiss Machinist – 2nd Shift

Location:

Mentor, Ohio Pay: $27-32 an hour | 10% Premium

Schedule:

7:00am-3:30 PM Monday – Friday OT as Needed

Job Overview:
Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist to set up and operate Citizen Swiss machines (L32, L20) on the 1st shift. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment with the chance to earn a 10% premium for overtime hours worked on Friday Saturday & Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Citizen Swiss machines with Mitsubishi controls (L32, L20).
• Perform basic machining practices and apply machining principles to daily operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Operate inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure quality standards.
• Make tool offsets, set longitude and diameters, and perform tool changes (understanding of insert nomenclature).
• Changeover bar feed and handle setup adjustments.
• Program editing and setup experience is a plus.
• Follow documentation practices and adhere to company protocols.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating Citizen Swiss machines (L32, L20) with Mitsubishi controls.
• Strong knowledge of machining principles and ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Program editing and setup experience is a plus.
