CNC Setup Technician

Our client in Mentor, Ohio is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician to support precision manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience setting up CNC equipment, making tooling and offset adjustments, and ensuring machines are properly prepared for production.

• Set up CNC machines for production runs.
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and work holding.
• Load and verify CNC programs.
• Set tool offsets and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues.
• Make adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Previous CNC setup experience required.
• Experience with CNC lathes, mills, or Swiss-type machines preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to make tool and offset adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
