Position SummaryAs a Precision Assembler you will perform assembly work in a station or line to produce medical devices in an FDA regulated and controlled environment.
ShiftShift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd (2nd and 3rd get paid an additional $1.25/shift differential)
What you will do as a Precision Assembler- 1. Perform assembly-type functions, using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses consistently at or above production targets
- 2. Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes.
- 3. Inform Team Lead of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment or processes.
- 4. Operate equipment needed to perform job.
- 5. Adhere to Shop Practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment and following standard work.
- 6. Submit Safety Observations through Safety Program and new Ideas through Ideas Program.
- 7. Update the Hour by Hour Board and complete Pareto charts.
- 8. Meet quality assurance requirements, complete DHRs, and perform Process Monitoring.
- 9. Perform other duties as needed.
Skills and Abilities
Required:
- High school graduate/GED
- Previous assembly experience with small parts required;1 year
- Experience in crimping and gluing small parts; 1 year
- Ability to perform material replenishment duties; 1 year
- Ability to perform in-process inspections; 1 year
- Ability to perform changeover for parts and equipment; 1 year
- Ability to setup auto baggers and printers for new orders; 1 year
