What You’ll DoSet up and operate TIG welding equipment using documented procedures to achieve repeatable, high‑quality results within tight tolerances.
Perform manual layout and surface preparation to build complex weldments when required.
Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, travelers, and work instructions to plan and execute each job.
Position and secure parts using fixtures, jigs, and other holding devices prior to welding.
Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments and gauges; document results as needed.
Troubleshoot issues and contribute to team problem‑solving activities.
Meet or exceed all medical‑device quality and safety standards.
What You Bring Required High School Diploma or GED.At least 1 year of welding experience (a completed, certified welding program may count toward this requirement).Minimum 2 years working in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
Preferred/Additional Vocational/technical welding training completed.
Hands‑on experience with flux‑core, MIG, and stick processes; familiarity with carbon steel.
Proficiency with TIG on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum using prescribed manual techniques.
Ability to read/interpret all standard welding symbols and detailed blueprints.
Skilled with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
Strong math aptitude, solid troubleshooting ability, and basic computer skills.
Working knowledge of weld inspection and competent visual inspection skills.
