Harmony Hospice volunteers Mentor

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Providing companionship to patients through conversation, games, reading, or simply offering a comforting presence

• Sending thoughtful cards and letters of encouragement

• Conducting friendly check-in calls to patients and family members

• Supporting bereaved families through mailings, phone calls, and grief support visits

• Assisting with additional volunteer activities based on individual interests and organizational needs

This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Qualified volunteers should possess:

• Availability and skills relevant to the selected volunteer activities

• The ability to maintain strict confidentiality

• The ability to work independently while following direction appropriately

• Strong interpersonal and empathetic listening skills

• Emotional maturity and the ability to compassionately support individuals experiencing hardship and loss

Volunteer scheduling is flexible and designed to accommodate individual availability.

Whether you are able to volunteer a few hours each month or on a more consistent basis, your time and support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of hospice patients and their families.
